1) What is On-Page and Off-Page SEO?

Ans – On-Page SEO is an SEO technique done within the website like optimizing images, maintaining title and meta tags, URL structure, populating keyword density, etc . And Off-Page SEO is SEO done outside the website like building backlinks, etc.

2) What is Canonical URL?

Ans – A canonical  URL represents the master copy of a page meaning that prevents problems caused by identical or “duplicate” content appearing on multiple URLs. Choosing one as the canonical URL tells Google and other search engines which one to show in the search results. A canonical URL is a technical solution for duplicate content.

3) What is Duplicate Content?

Ans – Duplicate content is content that appears on the Internet in more than one place. It often lives on a different URL and sometimes even on a different domain. Most duplicate content happens accidentally or is the result of a sub-par technical implementation.

4) What is Black Hat SEO and White Hat SEO?

Ans – Black hat SEO refers to techniques and strategies used to get higher search rankings by not following proper search engine rules. Black hat SEO focuses on search ranking by ignoring users’ perspectives. Whereas White Hat SEO refers to the proper search engines rules and users’ perspective as well. White Hat SEO takes time to produce the result but lasts longer.

5) What is Competitive Analysis in SEO?

Ans – Competitive Analysis is the analysis of the website of the competitor like keywords they are ranked for, backlinking they get from and so on.

6)  What are Backlinks?

Ans – Backlink is the link that comes to the website from various other websites. When another website is linking to the website homepage or any particular pages or posts, then each of which links is counted as backlinks.

7)  What Are Do-Follow Backlinks and No-Follow Backlinks?

Ans – A no-follow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page’s favor, does not boost PageRank, and doesn’t help a page’s placement in the SERPs. Follow links are links that count as points, pushing SEO link juice and boosting the page rank of the linked-to sites, helping them go higher in the SERPs as a result.

By default, all links are do-follow links unless they are modified to be no-follow links manually or are automatically changed by a website setting.

8)  What are 301 Redirects?

Ans – The HTTP response status code 301 Moved Permanently is used for permanent URL redirection, meaning current links or records using the URL that the response is received for should be updated. The new URL should be provided in the Location field included with the response.

11)  What Are the Types of Website Traffic?

Ans – There are mainly five types of traffic on the website. They are, organic, referral, social, direct and paid traffic. Ans – A pageview also called page impression, is a request to load a single HTML file of an Internet site. When you open one single page of a particular webpage, that is counted as one pageview.

Likewise, a session is defined as a group of interactions one user takes within a given time frame on your website. Google Analytics defaults that time frame to 30 minutes. Meaning whatever a user does on your website (e.g. browses pages, downloads resources, purchases products) before they leave equals one session.

29)  What is the Difference Between Page Views and Unique Pageviews?

Ans – A pageview is defined as a view of a page on your site that is being tracked by the Analytics tracking code. If a user clicks reload after reaching the page, this is counted as an additional pageview.

A unique pageview represents the number of sessions during which that page was viewed one or more times. When a user visits a web page once or even multiple times during a specific session, it is counted as a unique pageview. From a Google Analytics point of view, a session usually relates to 24 hours.

Ans – Keyword Density is the percentage of targeted keywords or phrases used in the total number of the content. For example, if a blog post has 1,000 words and a keyword appears 10 times, that means the article has a keyword density of 1%.
